Mr. Carl "David" Smith, 74 of Windy Mill Crossing, Temple passed away March 7, 2007. Mr. Smith was born on January 2, 1933 in Haralson County, Georgia the son of the late George Thomas Smith and Flora Lee Farmer Smith. A retired insurance adjuster with 28 years of service with GAB Business Services, Member of First Baptist Church of Temple and Veteran of The United States Air Force. Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Mrs. Audrey Loyd Smith of Temple; three step-children, Denise Frix & George Batchelder of Atlanta, Collette Frix of Atlanta and Steve & Pat Frix of Forest Park; sisters, Cleo Lynch of Bremen, Willie Mae Cook of Heflin, AL and Rachel Johnson of Port Orange, FL; grandchildren, Nicholas Frix of San Diego, CA and Courtney Frix of Las Vegas, NV and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, March 9, 2007 between the hours of 2 & 4 and 6 & 9. Services will be conducted Saturday, March 10, 2007 at 11 AM from First Baptist Church of Temple with Reverend Larry Boswell officiating. Music will be provided by Mark Haney and Gene McGukin. Jerry Gable, Jay Webb, Mike Smith, Tony Smith, Phillip Pope and Earl Tolleson will serve as pallbearers. Men Of Brotherhood of First Baptist Church of Temple will serve as honorary pallbearers. Interment will follow in Meadowbrook Memory Gardens.
