Chester "Captain Jack" Bobby Reese, age 86, of Franklin, Georgia passed away Friday, May 9, 2025. He was born on January 4, 1939 in Dallas, Georgia, son of the late Carl Reese and the late Wiley Goolsby Reese. Chester was retired with 30+ years of service as a Captain with the Douglasville Police Department.

He is survived by his son, Gene Reese (Wanda); daughter, Janet Arthur (Gary); grandchild, Nikki Arthur; great-grandchildren, Michael Peek and Andy Peek.

In addition to his parents, Chester was also preceded in death by his wife, Louise Gunnells Reese; daughter, Judy Hilley; brother, Vester Reese; sister, Bessie Morris; grandson, Richard Arthur.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Sunday, May 11, 2025 at Hightower's Memorial Chapel.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, May 12, 2025 at 1:00 PM in the chapel at the funeral home with Pastor Wayne Webb officiating.

Interment will be at Stripling Chapel Cemetery.
