William Christopher "Chris' Prentice, 61, of Key West, Florida, passed away on February 10, 2016. Born in Carrollton, Georgia on March 24, 1954, Chris was the son of the late William F. and Frances Prentice. He was a graduate of Carrollton High School. Chris was a gifted salesman, who was always impeccably dressed and greatly loved by his employees and co-workers. Chris began his sales career at a very early age, working for Wheeler's Mens Wear in Rome and Mack's Choice Clothing in Carrollton. At age 22, Chris was appointed as manager of a nationally-recognized clothing chain store at Southlake Mall. In later years, he excelled in precious metals investment and automobile sales, earning national awards such as membership in the Fiat Million Dollar Club while employed at International Motors in New Orleans, Louisiana. Survivors include his daughter Christina "Tina" Prentice of Miami, Florida; grandson, Emmanuel Flores of New Orleans, Louisiana; sisters, Rebecca Deschamp of Kiln Mississippi and Julianne Gross of Lilburn and four nephews. In addition ot his parents, Chris was preceded in death by his infant son, William Christopher Prentice, Jr. A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 10:30 AM at Bremen City Cemetery with the Reverend Doug Aultman officiating.
