Claudia Jean Hylton, age 81, of Villa Rica, passed away on June 29, 2026 at a local healthcare facility. She was born in Fort Benning, Georgia, on October 16, 1944, the daughter of the late Eugene Chatrall Burton and Doris Phine Odom Wade. She retired from Sony Music and was Baptist by faith.

In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Larry, Ray, and Skippy; and a grandson, Dalton Hylton.

Survivors include her children, John Hylton, and Jeanette Hylton; a sister, Caroline McCachren; four grandchildren, Megan Hylton, Morgyn Valdivia, Cierra Taylor, and Jonathan Stewart; and five great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 3, 2026, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at the funeral home.

Services will be conducted on Friday, July 3, 2026, at 11:00 am from the Chapel of Hightower Funeral Home with Dr. Corky Addison officiating.

Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
