Mr. Clyde Wesley Rutherford, age 76, of Waco Georgia passed away at 12:43 am on May 3, 2006. Clyde was born August 26, 1929 in Jonesville, Virginia the son of the late Clyde Wesley Rutherford, Sr and Jewell Elizabeth Taylor Rutherford. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Sara Taylor and Melven and Martha Rutherford and his first wife, Margie Rutherford, mother of his children. He attended schools in Virginia and Tennessee and served in the United States Army. He was a member of Owl Rock Methodist Church for twenty years where he served as Sunday School Superintendent. He was a founding member of Rock Fellowship, Waco, Georgia where his son, Robert Wesley Rutherford is the pastor. He retired from Gelco Truck Leasing where he was operations manager. Mr. Rutherford enjoyed church activities and his wood shop. Mr. Rutherford is survived by his wife, Lorraine Lee Roland Rutherford; sister, Margaret Brown; brothers, James Rutherford and Jack Rutherford; his children, Robert Rutherford, Linda Dent, Charlotte Beverly and Regina Gardner. He has twenty-two grandchildren and twenty-four great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Rock Fellowship Church in Waco on Friday, May 5, 2006 between the hours of 6 & 8:30 pm. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, May 6, 2006 at 11 AM from Rock Fellowship Church with Pastor Robert Rutherford officiating. Music will be provided by Rock Fellowship Worship Team. His grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow in Sunrise Memorial Gardens at 1 PM.
