Mr. Corlis Junior Wright, age 72, of Old Airport Rd., Carrollton, Ga., passed away Friday, May 30, 2008. He was born January 2, 1936 in Randolph County, Alabama, to the late Mary Lee Cox Wright and Marion Anderson Wright. Mr. Wright was a U.S. Army veteran and retired from the maintenance department at the University of West Georgia College after 20 years of service and attended Carrollton Church of God. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister. Survivors include his wife, Jackie League Wright; his children and their spouses, Kathy Lynn Wright of Carrollton, Brenda and Rev. Robert Massey of Whitesburg and Jimmy Ray Wright of Carrollton; his sisters and brothers in law, Christine & Hollen Adair of S.C., Helen Sims of Roopville and Faye Gunnells of Carrollton; brothers and sisters in law, Gary & Betty Wright, Cecil & Francoise Wright all of Bowdon, Bill & Sandra Wright of Ranburne and Roy & Becky Wright of Carrollton; also six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, June 2, 2008 at 3 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. James Butler and Rev. Robert Massey officiating. Pallbearers will be Sammy Wright, Don Wright, Terri Wright, Greg Wright, Pete Wright and Kevin Gunnells. Interment will follow in Carroll Memory Gardens.
