Deborah "Debbie" Ann West, age 58 of Carrollton, passed away July 22, 2019. She was born December 14, 1960 in Athens, Tennessee, daughter to the late James E. Burris and Lometa Pearl White Burris. She worked for The Oaks of Carrollton as a CNA for more than 15 years and was a member of Holy Ground Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by both her parents. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Mitzi Swanger of Carrollton; sisters, Connie and Gary Shepherd of Temple and Malissa and David Vance of Carrollton; brother, Dewey and Melissa Burris of Carrollton; five grandchildren and one great grandchild. Memorial service will be conducted Sunday, July 28, 2019 at 4:00 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Bro. Kelly Runnels officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 PM until the hour of service. In keeping with the family's wishes, her body has been cremated.
