Dennis "Red" Swanger, 71, of Bowdon, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2025. He was born on June 28, 1953, in Heard County, Georgia, the son of the late Clarence Emmett Swanger and Katie Mae Carr Swanger.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Arley Swanger, and sister, Margaret Puckett.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his sister, M.A. "Angel" Swanger; brother, Rickie Alton Swanger; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A memorial service will honor and celebrate his life on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Martin & Hightower Funeral Home, with Rev. Neil Awbrey officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, February 22, 2025, from 1:00 PM until the hour of service.
