Donna Marie
Brand
May 22, 1975 — Apr 18, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donna Marie Brand, who entered this world on May 22, 1975, in East Point, Georgia, the daughter of David Wayne McKee and the late Helen Marie Stephens McKee. Donna passed away on April 18, 2026, at her home in Bremen, Georgia, at the age of 50.
Donna was a graduate of Mt. Zion High School, but her life's true work was found in the home she so lovingly built and the family she so faithfully cared for. A devoted wife and mother, she poured her heart into creating a place where those she loved felt welcomed, comforted, and cared for. Her love was steady and evident in the small, everyday moments, whether it was a warm meal, a thoughtful gesture, or simply time spent together.
She found joy in life's simple pleasures. Donna had a creative spirit and a love of arts and crafts, often making things by hand that carried meaning beyond their form. She enjoyed fishing, finding peace and quiet by the water, and especially loved baking, sharing homemade treats that reflected her generous, giving heart.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Hoyt Lee Brand; her daughter, Stephanie Marie Brand; her son, David Lee Brand; her father, David Wayne McKee; and her brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Cindy McKee. Each of them carries forward the love she gave so freely and the memories that will forever remain close to their hearts.
A service to celebrate Donna's life will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026, at Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM, with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 PM, officiated by Rev. Anthony Puckett. Following the service, Donna will be laid to rest at Roopville Road Baptist Church Cemetery.
Though her time here feels far too short, Donna's life was a beautiful reflection of love, devotion, and quiet strength. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on in the lives she touched and the family she cherished so dearly.
Messages of condolence may be shared with the family at www.martin-hightower.com. Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel is honored to serve the Brand family.
