Mrs. Donna Kay Jones, age 76, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, September 14, 2026, with her husband by her side. She was born on January 1, 1950, in Carrollton, Georgia, to the late Ray Lee Taylor and Audrey Denney Taylor.

Donna Kay graduated from Central High School in 1967 and worked as a front desk representative at Carrollton Eye Clinic for 15 years. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, where her faith found a home among her church family.

Of all the roles Donna Kay held throughout her life, she loved being a momma most. Motherhood held a special place in her heart, and her love for her family will remain an enduring part of her legacy. Her memory will be cherished in the everyday moments and family stories that keep a mother's love close, even after she is gone.

She leaves behind her husband, James Aubrey Jones; her children and their spouses, Marty Jones and his wife, Mechele, and Patty Heilbroun and her husband, Allan; her sister, Valeria Taylor; her brother and sister-in-law, Jarvis and Sheila Taylor; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 18, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Martin & Hightower Funeral Home, with Marty Jones and Rev. Tim Cook officiating. Interment will follow at Carroll Memory Gardens.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jonathan Musick, Tracy Cook, Allan Heilbroun, Johnathon Heilbroun, Kyle Elrod, and Iain Denning.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.
