Mrs. Doris Denney Dorough, age 87, formerly of Stewart St., Carrollton, Ga., passed away Sunday, November 11, 2007. She was born July 14, 1920 in Carroll County, Georgia to the late Jennie Lou Vines and Edward William Denney. Mrs. Dorough was a beautician and a member of Carrollton First United Methodist Church. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Milburn E. Dorough; also four brothers and 3 sisters. Survivors include her sister, Wilma Butler of Huntsville, Ga.; sisters in-law, Grace Johnson of Carrollton, Sybil Mayo of Laurel, MS., and Geneva Golden of Tifton, Ga.; also a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at 2 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Eddie Herring officiating. Interment will follow in Carroll Memory Gardens.
