Doris "Marie" McRae, age 70, of Douglasville, Georgia, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 25, 2024. She was born on September 17, 1953, to the late Mr. Hugh Lee Perry and the late Mrs. Myrtie Doris Wilson Perry

Mrs. Marie was an incredibly caring and dedicated mother and grandmother who devoted her life to her family. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, cross-stitching, sewing, and watching her favorite TV shows in the evenings.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Brenda Kittrell, and her nephew, Chris Warren.

Marie leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Nickelda McRae; grandchildren, Trenton McRae, Lucas McRae, Nicholas McRae, and Iris McRae; niece, Brooke Kittrell; nephew, Danny Warren; and several half-brothers and sisters.

A memorial service will be held to honor and celebrate Marie's life on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Martin & Hightower Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the hour of service.
