Dorothy Nell Roberts Clay "Dot", age 80 of Carrollton, passed away Sunday, October 06, 2013 at her residence. She was born July 07, 1933 in Cullman, Alabama to the late Mr. Benjamin William Roberts and Mrs. Emily Elizabeth Henry Roberts. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by son, Ronnie William Clay; grandson, Ronnie William Ward; a sister, Mary Manley and a brother, Lewis Roberts. Survivors include husband, Clarence William Clay, daughter and son in law, Yvonne Delaine Jiles (Enoch) of Carrollton; sister and brother in law, Betty Lou Roberts Henderson (Jimmy) of Woodland, Ala.; brother and sister in law, Benjamin Roberts Jr. (Mary) of Covington, Ga.; two grandchildren, five great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, October 09, 2013 at 2:00 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. David Clay and Pastor Timmy Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in Carroll Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Tony Duke, Brian Fitts, Ray Henderson, Jeffery Henderson, Jimmy Henderson, Levi Ward, Donnie Clay, and Dewey Burris. The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 08, 2013 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel.
