Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Officer Dustin Krish, who entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior on June 9, 2026.

Born and raised in Forsyth County, Georgia, Dustin graduated from Forsyth Central High School in Cumming before earning his Bachelor's Degree in Finance from the University of West Georgia. While his education prepared him for many opportunities, Dustin ultimately found his calling in law enforcement.

Dustin proudly served as a police officer with the Carrollton Police Department. He deeply loved his work and considered it a privilege to serve and protect the citizens of Carrollton. Whether responding to a call, assisting a citizen in need, or supporting his fellow officers, he approached his duties with dedication, integrity, and compassion. Badge #261 represented not only his profession, but a calling he embraced wholeheartedly. His commitment to service and his fellow officers earned him the respect and admiration of those who had the privilege of serving alongside him.

A faithful Christian, Dustin was a member of King's Chapel Presbyterian Church. He possessed a deep love for theology and enjoyed studying Scripture and engaging in meaningful conversations about his faith. His relationship with Christ guided his life and shaped the way he cared for others.

When he was not serving his community, Dustin enjoyed spending time at the shooting range and pursuing the hobbies he loved. Yet, above all else, his greatest joy was his family. He was a devoted husband, a beloved son and brother, and a proud uncle who delighted in spending time with his niece and nephews. Those who knew him best will remember his quick wit, his playful sense of humor, and the way he loved to pick on those he loved most. The memories he created with his family will be treasured for years to come.

Dustin leaves behind his loving and faithful wife, Emily Richardson Krish; his parents, John Thomas Krish and Vickie Joyce Sudderth Krish; his brother and sister-in-law, Chad and Jessica Krish; his cherished niece and nephews, Nolan, Kinsey, and Corbin Krish; as well as many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, fellow officers, and friends who mourn his passing and celebrate the life he lived.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Martin & Hightower Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at 2:30 PM at Midway Church. Interment will follow at Shoal Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Buford, Georgia.

In recognition of Officer Krish's faithful service and dedication to law enforcement, honors will be rendered by the Carrollton Police Department Honor Guard. Members of the Carrollton Police Department, along with fellow law enforcement officers from agencies throughout the region, will serve as honorary pallbearers. Following the funeral service, Officer Krish will be escorted by a law enforcement procession to Shoal Creek Baptist Church Cemetery for interment honors.

Though his life was far too short, Dustin leaves behind a legacy of faith, service, courage, and love. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
