It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dustin Owen on October 24, 2026. He was a hardworking man who spent his life doing the best he could to provide for his family and those he loved. He was born in Rome, Georgia, the son of Charlotte ‘Cherie’ Hughes Owen and the late James ‘Jimmy’ Allen Owen.

He was a wonderful brother who was always there for his family and shared a special bond with his siblings. His love, laughter, and the memories they made together will never be forgotten.

Though he is no longer with us, his memory will live on through his children, siblings, family, and friends.

He will be deeply missed, forever loved and never forgotten.

Survivors include his wife, Diedra Marrow Owen; his mother, Cherie Hughes Owen; his children, Dixon Owen and Dawson Owen; brothers, Cody Owen (Betty), Brandon Owen (Morgan); and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 30, 2026 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the funeral home.

Services will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at 11:00 am from the Chapel of Hightower Funeral Home with Pastor Eddie Hughes officiating and Dawson Owen, Brandon Owen, and Cody Owen speaking. Dixon Owen, Dawson Owen, Cody Owen, Brandon Owen, B.J. Johnson, Cody Summers, Brian Tarpley and Daniel Maddox will serve as pallbearers.

Interment will follow in Waco Baptist Church Cemetery.
