Obituary

Mrs. Ellawill Adams Jett, age 91, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away peacefully at her residence on Sunday, July 26, 2026.

Born on February 28, 1935, in Athens, Alabama, Ellawill was the daughter of the late Clyde Adams and Estell Greenhaw Adams. She was a faithful woman whose life was rooted in her love for the Lord, her family, and the simple joys that filled her days. She retired after many years of dedicated service with Tanner Medical Center's Environmental Services Department.

Ellawill found happiness in life's quiet moments. She loved quilting, spending time reading her Bible, and working word searches. Her faith was an important part of who she was, and she was a devoted member of Holy Ground Baptist Church. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, unwavering faith, and the love she shared with her family throughout her life.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Jett; her grandsons, Bryan Reynolds, Timmy Harry and Alex Faulkner; and her granddaughter, Emily Faulkner.

She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory, including her children and their spouses, Carol Wood, Bobbie & Roger Faulkner, and John & Becky Jett; sister, Joann Sides; grandchildren, Robie & Traci Jett, Lisa Jackson, Holley Davis, Kelly & Mike Garrison, Bri Faulkner, Nicole & Joe Wilson, Kimberly Jackson, Brittany Nicholson, John Jett, Dustin Whitfield, and Kris & Kalee Whitfield; along with 35 great-grandchildren, 20 great-great-grandchildren, and extended family members, and dear friends whose lives she touched with her kindness and love.

A funeral service to celebrate Ellawill's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at Holy Ground Baptist Church, with Bro. Keith Runels, Bro. Richard Harrison, and Bro. Michael White officiating. Interment will follow at Stripling Chapel Cemetery. Robie Jett, Coty Jett, Dalton Jett, Laramie Jackson, Brandon Jackson, and Kaden Sullivan will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Martin & Hightower Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Her family finds comfort in knowing that her faith has become sight and that she is now at peace in the presence of her Savior. Her legacy of faith, love, and devotion to family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
