Eugene Talmadge Key, 72 of Bowdon Junction passed away peacefully at his home early Saturday, May 26, 2007. Mr. Key was born on Aug. 7, 1934 in Carroll County, Ga. To the late Vera Akin Key and. Rudy Key of Carroll County. He was retired after thirty years of service with the Georgia Highway Department, and was a member of Harmony Baptist Church. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Milford Key. Survivors include his wife of fifty years, Mrs. Shirley Ann Richardson Key, two daughters Debra and Terry Alexander of Villa Rica and Shelby McAdams of Carrollton, two sons Tony and Nancy Key and Ricky and Teresa Key all of Bowdon, two brothers James Key of Bremen and Alonzo Key of Mt. Zion, sisters Floy Key of Bowdon Junction and Pauline Mullenex of Bremen also surviving are eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, May 28, 2007 at 11:00AM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. C. L. Powers officiating. Music will be rendered by Patsy Williams. Pallbearers will be Tony Key, Jared McAdams, Brandon McAdams, Danny Entrekin, Terry Alexander and Todd Miller. Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Feenstra and Tony Carlile. Interment will follow in the Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 2 until 8PM.
