Evelyn Marie Morris Hucks, age 92, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Saturday, August 9, 2025. She was born in Stanley County, North Carolina on September 27, 1932 daughter of the late John C. Morris and the late Martha Newell Morris.

Evelyn is survived by her daughters, Jonette Wix (Archie), Kathy Bookins; sons, John Hucks III, Barry Hucks; grandchildren, Korey Mitchell, Kandis Allen, Kacey Waugh, Brandis Lennon, Brittney Kaurin; 18 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.

In addition to her parents, Evelyn was also preceded in death by her husband, John Hucks; grandsons, Wesley Poss, Brandon Hucks; sister, Barbara Killman; brothers, Carl Morris, JR Morris, Loyd Morris, Ray Morris.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM tomorrow, August 11, 2025, at Sunrise Memorial Gardens with Pastor Eddie Allen officiating.
