Fay Delaine Thompson, 74, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2025. She was born on November 20, 1950, in Newnan, Georgia, to the late Aubrey Duffey and the late Nellie Faye Hyatt Duffey.

Mrs. Fay graduated from Newnan High School. Her passion was working with children of all ages. She worked as a Teacher's Assistant with the Carroll County Board of Education, having served in all three of the Central Schools until her retirement. Mrs. Fay was a well-rounded lady; she was also an LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse). Her family was very proud of her accomplishment when graduated from West Georgia Tech with her nursing degree. However, her greatest joy came from her roles as a wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, where she cherished every moment spent with her loved ones. Her nurturing spirit and unwavering support left a lasting impact on her family, who will forever remember her kindness and love.

She leaves behind her loving family, which includes her husband, Clifford L. Thompson; sons & daughter-in-law, Andrew Thompson and Robby & Melissa Thompson; grandchildren, Brennan Thompson, Sophia Thompson and Jenna Thompson; and a sister, Imogene Maddox.

In accordance with her wishes, Mrs. Fay's body has been cremated and a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
