Fredrick Foy Bowens, 73 of Treetop Drive, Bremen passed away November 15, 2008. Mr. Bowens was born on November 11, 1935 in Jefferson County, Alabama the son of the late James Benjamin Bowens and Estelle Trumer Williams Bowens. A retired United States Air Force Veteran, member of the Fulton Lodge # 216 F&AM , member of Waco Baptist Church, and retired service manager in the automotive industry. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, Scott Nixon, four sisters and one brother. Survivors include his wife, Barbara White Bowens of Bremen; children, Kim & Mark Warner of Dacula and Paul & Jennifer Nixon of Ballground; daughter in law, Sandra Nixon of Bremen; four sisters; three brothers; and eight grandchildren, Brody Nixon, Braysh Nixon, Lainey Nixon, Trevor Nixon, Preslie Nixon, Shaelyn Nixon, Drew Warner and Olivia Warner. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at 2 PM from The Chapel of Hightower Funeral Home in Bremen with Reverend Ricky Shadrix officiating. Music will be provided by Katie Williams. Tyler Posey, Andy Teal, Braysh Nixon, David Rollins, Winfred Miller, Scott Ginn and Henry Ledbetter will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, those desiring to do so may make donations to American Heart Association.
