George Lawton Manus, Jr., age 65, of Tallapoosa, entered into the arms of Jesus on July 12, 2026 to his Heavenly home where he longed to be. He was born on February 6, 1961, the son of the late George Lawton Manus, Sr. and Katie 'Hunter' Manus.

George loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and is now having the time of his life basking in Jesus' presence. He had a great love for classic cars but his greatest joy was making memories with his granddaughter, Harper.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Rodney Edson.

Survivors include his loving wife of 18 years, Amy 'Henry' Manus; sons, Hunter Manus (Faith Mapp) and Dylan Manus; granddaughter, Harper Lynn Manus; sister, Vivian Edson; and brothers, Roger Manus (Julie) and Robert Manus (Carol).

According to his wishes, Mr. Manus was cremated.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Mount Zion Congregational located at 760 Lovvorn Farm Road Carrollton, Georgia 30117 on Saturday, July 18th at 4:00 PM.
