George Russell Pastor passed peacefully into the Lord's hands on the morning of January 7th, surrounded by the love of his family, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George Pastor Jr. and Andrea "Pat" Pastor of Lincoln Place, Pennsylvania.

George was a beloved husband of Lorraine (Mueser) Pastor, whose love and devotion sustained him throughout his life. George was a proud and loving father to Russel Pastor (Brianna), and Emily Scott (Ryan), with encouragement, guidance, and support. His greatest joy was being "Pap" to his treasured grandson, Carson Scott, who brought endless smiles and laughter to his days. He is also survived by his sister, Nancy (Biller), his niece Elyse (Greenhouse), and his nephew Edward (Biller).

After retiring from his career as a Research and Development Chemist from a few notable companies such as Bayer Corp., Southwire, and Patch Rubber. George enjoyed the simple pleasures that meant so much to him. He took great pride in his marksmanship, and reloading, as well as his model trains collection. George was an avid hunter, and treasured the time he spent outdoors, and the memories behind each trophy. He also loved to travel and explore the world with curiosity and appreciation, visiting countries such as Italy, Greece, Norway, Iceland, and England.

Above all, George will be remembered as a kind and steadfast man whose family was his greatest blessing. He leaves behind cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held to honor and celebrate George's life on Friday, February 6, 2026, at 4:00 PM from the Chapel of Martin & Hightower Funeral Home, with Rev. Fr. Leandro Nunes officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 PM until the hour of service.
