Mrs. Glenda Nell Dobbs Petty, 69 of Taylors Gin Road, Temple, Georgia passed away June 9, 2010. Mrs. Petty was born on March 9, 1941 in Carroll County, Georgia the daughter of the late Samuel Murdock Dobbs and Trudy White Dobbs. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Jewell Bradley, brother, Samuel Murdock Dobbs, Jr and a son, William Russell Petty. Survivors include her husband, William H. Petty, son Jeff Petty and sister & brother in law, Doris & Robert Gordon all of Temple. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, June 11, 2010 between the hours of 4 & 8 pm. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, June 12, 2010 at 11 am from The Chapel of Hightower Funeral Home in Bremen with Reverend Sam Shipp and Reverend Tony Gordon officiating. Richard Reid, Jamie Sailer, Jimmy Rowe, Shane Lambert, Ben McGill, Ricky Dewberry, Tyler Sartin and Sean Lewis will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow in Asbury Cemetery.
