Burns
May 11, 1973 — Mar 28, 2025
Mr. Gregory "Greg" Michael Burns, 51, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away on March 28, 2025. He was born on Mother's Day, May 11, 1973, in Cordele, Georgia, the son of Charlene Burns Chandler.
Greg was an automobile salesman at Murchison Quality Auto Brokers, where he distinguished himself by building strong connections with customers. Outside of his professional commitments, Greg harbored a deep passion for music. A skilled guitarist, he often immersed himself in playing melodies that captivated and inspired those around him, creating an inviting atmosphere filled with the joy of music. Whether strumming classic rock anthems or soulful ballads, Greg's musical talent brought people together, illustrating his vibrant personality and creativity.
He placed tremendous importance on his friendships, consistently prioritizing time for gatherings, heartfelt conversations, and shared experiences that deepened their bonds. Family time was a sacred ritual for him; he cherished every moment spent with his loved ones, whether it was a simple dinner at home, a weekend outing, or quiet evenings filled with laughter and stories. Above all, his most treasured relationships were with his two daughters, who filled his life with immense joy and pride.
In addition to his mother, Greg leaves behind a loving family that includes his daughters, Allyssa Burns and Cayla Burns; stepsons, Christopher Parrish and Austin Parrish; his friend and the mother of his children, Christy Burns; sister, Amy Chandler; sister and brother-in-law, Allyson and Jimmy Neal; uncle, Tim Chandler; and seven nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his Grandma, Marilyn Morris; PaPa, Hugh Batey; and Meemaw, Barbara Chandler.
In keeping with Greg's wishes, his body will be cremated, and the family will announce a celebration of life service in the coming weeks.
