Harold Junior Payne, age 62 of Villa Rica, passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2013. He was born December 28, 1950 in Carroll County to the late Mr. Horace Payne and Mrs. Lola Moore Payne. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his step-mother, Flo Payne. He is survived by wife, Teresa Payne; daughters and sons in law, Donna and Chris Smith of Roopville and Paula and Scott Robinson of Carrollton; son and daughter in law, Jason and Toffee Causey of Whitesburg; sister, Gena Payne of Roopville; brothers, Calvin Payne of Roopville, Bobby Payne of Roopville, and Wilford Payne of Carrollton; and eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, December 27, 2013 at 2:00 PM from Martin & Hightower with Bro. David Palmer officiating and Tim Eady will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in Veal Community Cemetery with graveside prayer by Jason Moore. Pallbearers will be Randy Carden, Andy Hull, Floyd Perser, Jason Moore, Josh Payton and Matt Payton. Honorary pallbearers will be Frank Phillips, Gene Bearden, Greg Bearden, Wyatt Fountain, Kenneth Denney, Vance Thomaston and Danny Davis. The family will receive friends Thursday, December 26, 2013 from 5:00 Pm till 8:00 PM at Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel.
