Harvey is survived by his children: Tina Rovelo, Doug Thornton (Marissa), Jerry Ford (Hope), and Sheila Williams (Joe); his 9 beloved grandchildren; and his 10 precious great-grandchildren. His family and friends will remember him for his generous spirit, quick wit, and unwavering love for those around him.

In addition to his parents, Harvey is preceded in death by his sister, Pat Shirey; brothers, J.L. Thornton and his twin, Hershel Thornton.

Family and friends will gather to honor Harvey's life during a time of visitation at Martin & Hightower Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, from 12:30 PM until 2:30 PM.
