Helen Christine Florence, age 82, of Powder Springs, Georgia passed away Saturday, February 7, 2026. She was born on September 19, 1943 in Fort Payne, Alabama, daughter of the late Hollis L. Priest and the late Laura Baker Priest. Helen was retired from Cobb School District where she was a bus driver for 15 years. She was a member of West Gate Church in Powder Springs.

Helen is survived by her children, Tonya Yarbrough (William), Tony Florence, Angel Florence (Paul Watts); grandchildren, Candi, Theron, Kristen, Clinton, Nathan, Patrick, Luke, Destyni, Kailee, Memphis, and Elizabeth; 12 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild; sister, Shirley Thrash; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Helen was also preceded in death by her first husband of 40 years, Billy Clinton Florence; second husband of 4 years, Bobby Lee Garner; sister, Aillene Cooper; brothers, Billy Jo Priest, Hollis Priest, Jr., Jeff Priest.

The family will receive friends at Hightower's Memorial Chapel from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 A funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, February 12, 2026 in the chapel of the funeral home with William Yarbrough officiating.

Interment will be at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
