Mr. Howard H. Smith, age 80, of Carrollton, Ga., passed away Saturday, February 19, 2011. He was born October 5, 1930 in Roopville, Georgia to the late Rosy Freeman Smith and Rufus Ira Smith. Mr. Smith was a farmer and a member of Eastside Baptist Church. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Roy, Ira, Otis L., Lewis, Henry, Floyd and Harold Smith; sisters, Carrie Mae Smith, Lena Cox and Elmer Smith. Survivors include a sister, Evelyn Wallace and a brother, Wilburn Smith both of Carrollton; also a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at 3 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Tommy McElroy officiating. Pallbearers will be Junior Smith, Mike Smith, Ricky Smith, Chris Smith, Alan Norman and Nick Stottlar. Interment will follow in Abilene Baptist Church Cemetery.
