Huxley Duke Shirey was born into the loving arms of Jesus on January 31, 2026, in Carrollton, Georgia. Though his time on earth was brief, his life was deeply meaningful and forever cherished by those who love him. Huxley's tiny life leaves an everlasting imprint on the hearts of all who loved him. Who will always hold him close in love, memory, and faith.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Ricky Shirey and Bobby Horsley.

Huxley is survived by his devoted mothers, Leigh Michelle Shirey and Ashley Michele Shirey; his siblings, Christian Young (Anna Malloy), Catlin Wright (Dustin Mullins), and Darlene Barton (Alan); grandmothers, Tammy Shirey and Patricia Hix; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Visitation for Huxley will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Hightower Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday February 4, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel, of Hightower Funeral Home with Bro. David Finley officiating. Dustin Branom, Anthony Branom, Jace Shirey, and Christian Young will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow at CenterPoint Cemetery.

Though held for only a moment, Huxley will be loved for a lifetime and beyond.
