Mr. Jack Harold Browning, 83 of Buchanan passed away suddenly on August 13, 2024.

He was born on February 23, 1941, in Buchanan, Georgia the son of the late B.C. Browning and Anice Summerville Browning.

Mr. Browning was a Member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church and co-owner-operator of B & B Specialized Hauling.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Jo Hunt Browning, and a son, Joseph Browning.

He is survived by his children, Debbie & Mike Benefield; Tammy & Chuck Thompson and Mitchell Browning, all of Buchanan; sister, Betty & Donald Worthy of Buchanan; grandchildren, Brandon & Amy Benefield, Hannah & Joe Mullins, Whitney & Victor Crews, Erica & Lane Goodson, Matthew & Faith Browning, Brittany Browning and Sarah Browning; great-grandchildren, Crane Benefield, Libby Benefield, Willow Benefield, Brantley Benefield, Easton Benefield, Oakley Benefield, Kaden Mullins, Gabe

Mullins, Emma Mullins, Jack Mullins, Luke Mullins, River Crews, Rhys Crews, Peyton Marlow, Jet Lee and Miley Browning.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 15, 2024, between 5:00 pm and 8:00 pm

Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, August 16, 2024, at 11:00 am from the Chapel of Hightower Funeral Home with Bro. Thomas Ward, Bro. Mike Benefield officiating, Bro. Blake Terry will officiate at the graveside. Brandon Benefield, Matthew Browning, Joe Mullins, Kaden Mullins, Gabe Mullins, Crane Benefield and Justin Crawford will serve as pallbearers. Jett Lee, Jack Mullins, Luke Mullins, Oakley Benefield, Easton Benefield, Brantley Benefield, Lane Goodson, Victor Crews, River Crews and Rhys Crews will be honorary pallbearers.

Interment will follow in Buchanan City Cemetery.
