JACK LEE WEEKS

September 3, 1967 - July 18, 2025

Jack Lee Weeks was born on September 3, 1967 to Pamela Jo and Lloyd James Weeks in Tampa, FL, where he was to grow up. Jack had crystal blue eyes, blonde hair, and looked like both his dad and uncle Bill. He was quiet and introverted with a quick wit, incredible and sometimes wry sense of humor. As a child, Jack learned to play the piano sitting next to his grandmother Rumler. His loving sister thought his style and flair were equal to that of Liberace. He shared his music as a teenager by playing at local nursing homes on weekends. He graduated from Hillsborough High School and later earned an associate's degree from Hillsborough Community College (HCC).

Jack played tennis in high school and received several college scholarship offers but was struck by a car while riding his moped, ending that dream. Never accepting defeat, he cultivated new dreams and followed through with them, creating a life that was rich and filled with the things and people he loved and cared for.

Jack learned about flowers and trees from his two grandmothers: Fern and Reather, and his Aunt Pauline. Early on, he would propagate plants, load up his red wagon and sell them in the neighborhood. That love of growing plants never waned as an adult. He had four greenhouses where he cultivated new varieties of blooms and made a business out of selling them locally. He referred to them as "Nature's Bouquet." He said he felt closest to God and his mom when caring for his flowers. Jack also loved and was an avid collector of antiques, also learned from his grandmother.

One of Jack's most beautiful gifts was his gift of taking care of others. He took the time to know "unloved, discarded, and broken people," listening to their life stories without judgment. He fed them, clothed them, and brought them into his home as a safe place to rest and renew. He was a friend to all and although quiet, his actions spoke for him. He loved all animals and always had several dogs and cats trailing behind him.

He bravely moved to Georgia in early 2007 to start a new chapter in life and be closer to family. Jack had worked in Finance with Warner Brothers in Florida. In Georgia he worked for Fox/LAPTV as a Media Specialist, showing his talents in so many ways that they could only have come from God above.

Jack was preceded in death by his partner and the love of his life, David H. Dubner, by his mother, Pamela Jo Rumler Sanders and his step-dad, Charles Frederic Sanders. He is survived by his father, Lloyd James Weeks, his sister, Jane Leigh (Weeks) Little, his brother, Daniel Dewayne Sanders, his uncle Jim and aunt Deb Jimenez, his nephew and niece, many cousins, and friends he cherished.

Just as he had cared for so many during his too-short lifetime, Jack accepted the love and care of his family: Daniel, Jane, Trey, Shelly, Aly, Laura, and Toni Lynn in the last days of this earthly life. We were privileged to have such precious time letting him know how special and loved he was. We know Jack is in the arms of Jesus and in the presence of those he loved that went before him.

There will be a private celebration of life in Jack's cherished garden at his home in Tucker, GA for close family and friends. If you would like to honor Jack's life, plant a tree or a garden, adopt a pet, be kind to strangers and all those less fortunate than you.

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal (everlasting) life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved." (John 3:16-17)
