Mr. Junior Lee "J.D." Hand, Jr., age 60, of Lovvorn Rd., Carrollton, Ga., passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2007. He was born May 21, 1947 in Carroll County, Georgia to the late J.D. Hand, Sr., and Floy B. Harry Hand. Mr. Hand was a retired plumber. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Smith Hand; also two sisters, Rachel Adams and Estelle Adams. Survivors include his children, Doug & Stacy Hand of Bowdon, Debbie Hand and Jennifer Hand both of Carrollton; also 8 grand children and a number of other relatives. A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, September 15, 2007 at 2 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Jeff Shelton officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 1 PM until the funeral hour. In accordance with the families wishes, the body was cremated.
