James Huston Adams, age 87, of Douglasville, Georgia, passed away on February 24, 2025. He was born in Darlington, South Carolina on June 18, 1937, son of the late WM Barney Adams and the late Alene Huggins Teal.

He is survived by his son: David Adams and his wife Teresa; grandchildren: Jeffrey Wentz, Josh Wentz, Jennifer Wentz; great-granddaughter: Lynn Leigh Wentz; sisters Janette Gainey, Mildred Lunn, Jewel Campbell.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Betty Mae Davis Adams, daughter: Janice Wentz, grandson: James Michael Adams.

The family will receive friends at Hightower's Memorial Chapel on Saturday, March 1, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

The funeral service will follow in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Charles Gibbs officiating.

Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Garden.
