James “Jim” Alfred West, age 87, of Lithia Springs, Georgia, passed away on October 22, 2026. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia on February 27, 1939, son of the late Alfred Ralph West and the late Ruby Mae McLarty West. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Lithia Springs.

He is survived by his spouse of seven (7) years, Pat Williams; children: Chuck West (Joy), David West (Cathy), Billy West (Wana), John Garrett; grandchildren: Brittany Day (Bramblett), Jamie Monroe (Matthew), Kayla Whittle (Chad), Tracie Fiquette (Tyler), Kyle Garrett (Libby); twelve (12) great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his 1st of fifty-seven (57) years wife Vera Naomi Cash West; grandchild: Jimmy West; daughter-in-law: Debbie Garrett; brothers: Howard West and Ronnie West.

The family will receive friends at Hightower’s Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, October 27, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

The funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church Lithia Springs, on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. with Opening Remarks by Pastor Jeremy Brummel, Message by Pastor Kevin McCoy and Committal by Pastor Kevin Neufeld. Bramblett Day, Matthew Monroe, Bram Day, Chad Whittle, Tyler Figuette, Kyle Garrett will serve as pallbearers.

Interment will follow at Mozley Memorial Gardens.
