Obituary

James "Jimmy" Allen Owen Jr., age 58 of Bremen passed away suddenly on March 26th, 2026.

He was born on April 18th, 1967 in Carrollton Georgia, the son of Deborah Awtry Collins and the late James Allen Owen, Sr.

Jimmy Owen was a beloved father, husband, and granddad - a true family man who always put his loved ones before himself. He loved wholeheartedly and was a dear friend to many; to know him was to love him. Jimmy cherished his three boys and his grandchildren, loving them unconditionally. Wherever he went, his presence was felt - he carried a warm smile and had a special way of sharing it with everyone around him. He walked with purpose, lived with intention, and worked hard every day. A gifted mechanic, Jimmy could fix anything he set his hands to and could drive a truck better than anyone. He was an incredible mentor, a loyal friend, and a man whose word meant everything - if he told you he loved you, he truly did. Above all, Jimmy Owen was a wonderful father, and his love and legacy will live on through his family and all that knew him.

Survivors include his mother, Deborah Collins; his wife, Cherie Hughes Owen; children, Dusty Owen (Diedra), Brandon Owen (Morgan), and Cody Owen (Betty); Sisters, Stacy Vaughn (Mark), Litha Johnson (Danny), and Angie Paul (Brian); Grandchildren, Bailey Owen, Jaiden Owen, Marlie Owen, Dixon Owen, Hudson Owen, and Dawson Owen.
