James Paul Robinson, Sr., age 79, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away Friday, June 19, 2026. He was born on July 19, 1946 in Buena Vista, Georgia, son of the late James McCoy Robinson and the late Mary Lou "Barrett" Robinson. James was a veteran of the United States Navy. Before his retirement he worked for more than 40 years as a Federal Inspector for the USDA.

James is survived by his wife Dorothy "Underwood" Robinson; children, Nicole Dodson (Eric), James Paul Robinson, Jr., Cassandra Flippen, Katrina Word; grandchildren, Michael Chase Windsor, Douglas Robinson, Devyn Robinson, Nathaniel Word, Tyler Flippen, Brad Flippen, Brandon Robinson; sisters, Lera Dent, Wanda Davenport, Lynda Dukes.

In addition to his parents, James was also preceded in death by his sisters, June Hedden, Chris Johnson, Vera Sanders, Doris Carter, Mary Ann Peters; brother, Jerry Robinson.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 from 12-2:00 PM at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Hightower Funeral Home with Dr. Corky Addison officiating.
