Janice Marie Cheatwood

Janice Marie Bartlett Cheatwood, age 85, of Douglasville, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at a local healthcare facility.

Born on May 25, 1941, in Rockmart, Georgia, Janice was the daughter of the late Milford W. Bartlett and I. V. Thompson Bartlett. Janice dedicated much of her life to caring for others, serving as an intensive care nurse at Parkway Regional for more than 12 years.

In addition to her parents, Janice was preceded in death by her sisters, Evelyn Holdbrooks and Betty Sanders; and her brother, Wayne Bartlett.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Billy F. Cheatwood; her children, Chris Belans and his wife, Allison, Darren Lodge and his wife, Connie, and Diana Lamb and her husband, Butch; her grandchildren, Parker Belans, Brandon Belans, Ethan Lodge, and Walker Lodge; along with other family members and friends who will dearly miss her.

Graveside services for Mrs. Janice Cheatwood will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at Waco Baptist Church Cemetery, with Pastor Billy Godwin officiating. The family will receive friends at Hightower Funeral Home on Wednesday from 1:00 PM until the time of service.

Serving as pallbearers will be Darren Lodge, Chris Belans, Ethan Lodge, Walker Lodge, Parker Belans, and Brandon Belans.
