Jerry Darrell Butler, 63, of Bowdon, Georgia, passed away on April 11, 2025. He was born on July 14, 1961, in Carrollton, Georgia, to the late Jerry L. Butler and Barbara Nell Rayburn Butler.

Jerry was a dedicated self-employed plumber who spent 35 years honing his craft and earning a reputation for quality work in his community. Having built a loyal clientele over the years, he took great pride in his profession, tackling everything from simple repairs to intricate plumbing installations. After decades of hard work, he happily retired, looking forward to enjoying the fruits of his labor.

In his leisure time, Jerry developed a passion for gardening, nurturing an array of plants and vegetables. Additionally, he cherished the companionship of his beloved dog and loyal friend, Kiki.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Magan Butler; his daughters and son-in-law, Olivia Tafur, Leighann and Aaron Cheatwood, and Lynn Kilgore; his sister, Vickie Tapley; his brothers, Bobby Joe Butler and Christopher Butler; and his grandchildren, Madison Butler, Maizie Butler, Azalyn Tafur, Lukas Tafur, and Oliver Tafur.

A funeral service will be held to honor and celebrate Jerry's life on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Martin & Hightower Funeral Home, with Bro. Ricky Rayburn officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from noon until the hour of the service.

Interment will follow at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, with Spencer Tapley, Matt Tapley, Joe Parsons, Frankie Young, Terry Rutledge, Chris Rutledge, Zander Rutledge, Aaron Cheatwood, and Justin Gossage serving as pallbearers.
