Mr. Jerry Wayne Hilton, age 63, of W. Hwy 5, Bowdon, Ga., passed away July 19, 2007 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born October 14, 1943 in Anniston, Al., to the late Addie Nay Griffith Hilton and Robert Harold Hilton. Mr. Hilton was a retired fireman having worked for the City of Atlanta for 19 years and was the CEO of Logistics Unlimited Incorporated in Bowdon, Ga. He also was a member of the Bowdon Area Historical Society. Survivors include his wife Brenda Miles Hilton; his children and their spouses, Donnie & Debbie Hilton, Michael Hilton and Holly & Scott Bowen all of Bowdon; two sisters, Brenda Gail Martin of Wewahitchka, Fl., and Eloise Robinson of Green Bay, WI.; two brothers and sisters in law, Robert & Jeanette Hilton of Wewahitchka,Fl., and Ronnie & Bonnie Hilton of Gainesville, GA.; also seven grand children, Joshua Hilton, Jarret Hilton, Jesse Hilton, Julia Hilton, Alexis Gilbert, Kaitlin Bowen and Riley Bowen. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, July 23, 2007 at 2 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Darryl Hessel and Mr. Bubba Hawkins officiating. In accordance with the families wishes, the body will be cremated following the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 5 until 8 PM & Sunday from 1 until 4 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bowdon First United Methodist Church, 111 Wedowee St. Bowdon, Ga., 30108.
