Jerry William Hubbard, Sr., age 70, of Villa Rica, Georgia, passed away peacefully at his home on June 14, 2026. On that day, Jerry's faith became sight as he entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. While he would be the first to tell you that he was not a perfect man, he lived a life marked by faith, prayer, and a sincere desire to serve God and lead his family by example.

Born on September 6, 1955, in Macon, Georgia, Jerry was a devoted Christian whose relationship with Christ was the foundation of his life. He was a faithful member of Old Pathway Baptist Church, where he remained actively involved until his health no longer allowed him to participate as he once had. Jerry loved studying God's Word and spent countless hours reading his Bible. His life verse was Philippians 1:20-21. He served as a Sunday School teacher, encouraged others in their faith, and was known by family and friends as a true prayer warrior. His faith was not something he simply professed it was something he lived each day.

Jerry also had a deep love for gospel music and found great joy in worship. Yet, of all the blessings in his life, none were more precious to him than his family. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and proud grandfather. He treasured time spent with those he loved, creating memories that will be carried in their hearts forever. Whether gathered around the dinner table, celebrating milestones, or spending a Saturday afternoon cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs, Jerry's greatest joy was simply being with his family.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Pamela Marice Hubbard; his children, Faith Marie Crew and her husband, Gary, Jerry William Hubbard, Jr. and his wife, Jessica, and Sadie Katharine Stoutt and her husband, Brian; his sister, Jean Simpson and her husband, Roy; his grandchildren, Joshua Crew and his wife, Hannah, Abigail Crew, Chasity Crew, Ava Dixie Hubbard, Silas Gordon Hubbard, Harrison Walter Hubbard, Michael Christopher Schmidt, Jr., Colin Alexander Schmidt, Casen Josiah Schmidt, Caraleena Rose Schmidt, Jacob Nathaniel Stoutt, and Joshua Isaac Stoutt; and a host of extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Gordon Hubbard and Grethel Cullpepper Hubbard; his brothers, Ronnie Hubbard and Terry Hubbard; and his son-in-law, Michael Christopher Schmidt Sr.

The family will receive friends at Martin & Hightower Funeral Home on Friday, June 19, 2026, from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM and again on Saturday, June 20, 2026 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Martin & Hightower Funeral Home with Pastor Stan Rogers, Pastor Joe Darby and Bro. Brian Stoutt officiating. Interment will follow at West Georgia Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Jerry Hubbard, Jr., Gary Crew, Joshua Crew, Silas Hubbard, Walt Hubbard, Christopher Schmidt, Colin Schmidt and Casen Schmidt. Honorary pallbearers will be Jacob Stoutt and Joshua Stoutt.

Though his family mourns his passing, they find comfort in knowing that Jerry's faith has become sight and that he is now rejoicing in the presence of the Savior he loved so dearly. His legacy of faith, prayer, and devotion to family will continue to inspire those who were blessed to know him.

"Well done, thou good and faithful servant." — Matthew 25:21
