It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jerry Wayne Hudgins, age 73, of Buchanan, Georgia, who passed away peacefully at his residence on February 24, 2025. Born on February 3, 1952, in Lubbock, Texas, Jerry was the son of the late William Hudgins, Jr. and Norma Jean 'Myers' Merritt.

Jerry was a hardworking man who made his mark in the community as the proud owner of Hudgin's Gutters & Vinyl Siding. His dedication to his craft and commitment to his customers were well known, and he built lasting relationships through his work. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who cherished time spent with his family.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Tim Hudgins and Dale Hudgins.

He leaves behind to mourn his passing his daughters, Christie Eriquezzo and husband Tommy, and Kaitlin Hudgins; his sister, Judy Cagle; his brothers, Greg Hudgins and wife Tina, and Larry Joe Hudgins and wife Shirley. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Alex Eriquezzo, Ryne Eriquezzo and wife Paige, Jesse Eriquezzo and wife Morgan, and Ali Bonner and husband Dalton. His great-grandchildren, Daxton Eriquezzo, Joey Kate Eriquezzo, Indie James Eriquezzo, and Mali Bonner, brought him much joy.

Jerry's presence will be missed by all who knew him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. May he rest in peace.

Memorial services for Jerry Wayne Hudgins will be conducted on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Hightower Funeral Home. Alex Eriquezzo will deliver the message, and Jesse Eriquezzo will deliver a eulogy and prayer.
