Jesse James Slaughter, age 35 of Douglasville, passed away on Friday, February 19, 2021.  He was born on October 11, 1985 in Atlanta, GA, son of Luther Clay Slaughter and Melinda Sue Rakestraw Slaughter.  He loved the Lord and attended Bible Baptist Christian School in Hampton, Georgia thru the 7th grade. He graduated from Union Grove High School.  Jesse loved cars and his family. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister: Kimber Slaughter; grandmother: Virginia Slaughter; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Orlan and Helen Rakestraw.  He was cremated and a Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 4:30 P.M. at Bible Baptist Church in Hampton, Georgia.
