Mrs. Jewell Musick Mashburn, age 90, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2025. She was born on December 7, 1934, to the late Colbert and Ida Musick, and she remained a devoted resident of Carrollton her entire life.

Jewell is survived by her loving daughters, Nelda (Dean) Robinson of Carrollton, GA, and Jan (Mitch) Huffman of Smyrna, GA and by her cherished grandchildren, Laura (Rick) Trevino of Spring TX, and Will Camp of New Bern, NC. She was also blessed with two bonus grandchildren, Steven (Kate) Huffman of Lawrenceville, GA and Brian (Ashley) Huffman of Dallas, GA. Jewell had one bonus great grand with Stevie Brett Huffman.

She was preceded in death by her beloved grandson Sam Robinson, her siblings, multiple cousins, nieces and nephews.

For nearly 40 years, Jewell faithfully served as City Clerk of Carrollton. Following her retirement, she continued her dedication to public service through her work with the Carroll County Election Board. She was also deeply committed to her community, contributing her time and talents to the Golden Kiwanis and serving on the Salvation Army Board of Directors.

A lifelong and active member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church, Jewell sang joyfully in the choir and served in many leadership roles over the years. Her faith, generosity, and kindness touched countless lives. Known for her wit, her radiant smile, and her sparkling blue eyes, Jewell brought warmth and laughter wherever she went.

In her final years at Brookdale Senior Living, she formed cherished friendships with both staff and residents, embracing her time there with the same spirit of love and connection that defined her life.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 7, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Martin & Hightower Funeral Home in Carrollton, Georgia. A Celebration of Life service will follow on Monday, September 8, 2025, at 1:00 PM in the Martin & Hightower Chapel, with interment in Carroll Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community First United Methodist Church of Carrollton, Georgia ( communityfirstumc.org ) in her memory.
