Mr. Jimmie Russell Eidson, 67 of Bell Road, Bremen passed away June 1, 2010 following a brief illness. Jimmie was born on January 24, 1943 in Carroll County, the son of the late John Wade Eidson and Elizabeth Bell Eidson. A retired mechanic of Delta Air Lines and Veteran of The United States Navy. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Sarah Jacobs. He is survived by his wife, Helen Ruby Hodges Eidson of Bremen; children, Tammy Eidson and Eric Martin of Carrollton, Dawn & Michael Brown of Waco; Cindy & Sid Meeks of Carrollton and Jimmy ' JJ' & Autumn Eidson of Bremen; brother, Curtis & Brenda Eidson of Waco; grandchildren, Krystle Martin, Felicia Martin, Chad Meeks, Laci Meeks, all of Carrollton and Raven Hicks and Mason Eidson both of Bremen; The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 between the hours of 4:30 and 8 pm. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, June 3, 2010 at 11 am from The Chapel of Hightower Funeral Home with Reverend Kenny Townsend officiating. Music will be provided by LouAnn Hutcheson. Michael Brown, Sid Meeks, Eric Martin, Chad Meeks, Bobby Bell and Brian Bell will serve as pallbearers. Mason Eidson, Raven Hicks, Lacie Meeks, Krystle Martin and Felicia Martin will serve as honorary pallbearers. Interment will follow in Bremen City Cemetery.
