Obituary

With heavy hearts, we share the unexpected passing of Jimmy Andrew "Andy" Massengale, who entered eternal rest on December 13, 2025, at the age of 57. Born on January 7, 1968, in Carrollton, Georgia, Jimmy was a lifelong member of the community he loved. He was a man whose warm smile, gentle spirit, and genuine kindness left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Jimmy's life was rooted in his love for family. He was a devoted husband to Laura Ann James-Massengale and a proud, loving father to his children, Renea, Andy, and Lynn. Nothing brought him greater joy than time spent with his family, especially his treasured grandchildren, Bobby, Nicki, Ellie, Charlie, Patrick, and Eva, who knew him as a steady presence full of love, laughter, and encouragement.

He is also lovingly remembered by his sister and brother-in-law, Hope and Dan Naley; his brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Jennifer Massengale; and many extended family members and friends who were blessed to know him.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline Massengale; his father, Jimmy Massengale; his mother, Lilia Stone Loften; and his brother, Jamie Massengale.

Throughout his life, Jimmy demonstrated remarkable resilience and quiet strength. He found happiness in life's simple moments, in family gatherings, in shared stories, and in the comfort of being surrounded by those he loved. His laughter, warmth, and unwavering love will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

A memorial service celebrating Jimmy's life will be held on December 22, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Martin & Hightower Funeral Home, with Pastor Curtis Costley officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather for a visitation prior to the service from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM. All who knew and loved Jimmy are welcome to come share memories and honor a life that meant so much to so many.

As we mourn his passing, we also give thanks for the countless memories he leaves behind. A legacy of love, family, and heartfelt connection that will endure in the lives he touched.
