Jimmy Terry Nichols, age 73, of Lithia Springs, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2026. He was born on May 30, 1953 in Atlanta, Georgia, son of the late Marvin Nichols and the late Jean Minter Nichols. Jimmy was retired from City of Atlanta Waste Water with more than 35 years of service.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Loretta Smith Nichols; children, Joshua Nichols, Laura Sargent; grandchildren, Tyler Sargent, Nicolas Sargent, Marcus Sargent (Karaya); sisters, Mattie Adams (Mike), Patsy Wilkerson (Danny); brother, Larry Nichols (Tina).

In addition to his parents, Jimmy was also preceded in death by his grandson, Joshua Blake Nichols.

The family will receive friends at Hightower's Memorial Chapel on Saturday, August 29, 2026 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. The memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM in the chapel of the funeral home.
