Mr. John Allen Buyers, 60, of Douglasville passed away Friday, August 15, 2008. He was born June 16, 1948 in Atlanta, Georgia the son of Sybil Irene Wills Rigsby and the late John Robert Buyers. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy having served during the Vietnam War. He was also a member of the Park Street Methodist Church in Atlanta. Survivors include his mother, Sybil Irene Wills Rigsby of Douglasville; brother and sister-in-law, Robert Eugene 'Gene' and Jeannie Buyers of Douglasville; numerous Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends. Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday, August 17, 2008 at 4:00 pm from Hightower's Memorial Chapel in Douglasville with Reverend Max Caylor officiating. Michelle Jacobs will provide musical selections. Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery in Atlanta. The family will receive friends Sunday, August 17, 2008 from 2:00 pm until the service time at the funeral home.
