John Ray McCorkle, age 81, of Palmetto, Georgia, passed away on September 10, 2026. He was born in Peoria, Illinois on June 11, 1945.

He is survived by his partner: Marie Smith; children: Michael McCorkle (Laura Joganic), Martin McCorkle (Sonia McCorkle), Guillermo Moya; grandchildren: Celyssa Moya (Clinton Vasquez), Isla Moya; his dog: Lily McCorkle.

He was preceded in death by his mother: Phyllis Johnson. 1st wife: Pricilla McCorkle, 2nd wife: Ingrid Vanloo McCorkle; daughter: Michele Moya; grandson: Emanuel Carapia.

The family will receive friends at Hightower's Memorial Chapel on Monday, September 14, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.

The funeral service will follow in the Chapel at 12:00 p.m. with Chaplain Kevin Moore officiating. Rick Vanloo, Jose Carapia, Miguel Carapia, Guillermo Moya, Clinton Vasquez will serve as pallbearers.

Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Garden.
