Joni Dewanna Driver, of Fernandina Beach, Florida, passed away on September 6, 2026, at a local healthcare facility. She was born on October 11, 1956, in Moultrie, Georgia, the daughter of the late John Winston Driver and Laura Fincher Wiley.
Joni worked as a concierge at the Ritz-Carlton on Amelia Island for eleven and a half years. She absolutely loved her job and was exceptionally good at it. Her warm personality, dedication, and genuine love for helping others made her well-suited for a career in hospitality. The Ritz-Carlton and Amelia Island held a special place in her heart.
Survivors include her son, Brandon Brown; sisters, Becky Queen, Ginger McKinzie (Tim), Gina O'Hearn (Jeff), and Joy Spillman (Mike); brothers, Wendell Driver (Dawn), Steve Wiley, and Mike Wiley (Debbie); and grandchildren, Kylie Brown and Brieanna Schultz.
In addition to her parents, Joni was preceded in death by her stepmother, Lura Driver, and stepfather, Albert Wiley.
A celebration of Joni's life will be held at a later date on the beach at the Ritz-Carlton on Amelia Island, a place she loved so dearly. Service details will be announced once arrangements have been finalized.
