Jose A. Cruz, age 75, of Douglasville passed away Saturday, August 2, 2025. He was born in Dominican Republic on October 9, 1949, son of the late Edmundo Cruz and the late Ana Almonte Cruz. Jose was employed as an operating room coordinator at the Albert Einstein Hospital in New York.

Jose is survived by his wife, Carmen Gomez Cruz; children, Evelyn Cruz, Carlos Cruz, Annie Cruz (Aridio Duran); grandchildren, Annjeannette Duran, Margarita Duran, Daniel Duran, Kaden Cruz, Ariannie Duran; siblings, Magdalis Cruz, Gilberto Cruz, Fernando Cruz, Antonio Cruz, Miguel Cruz, Brunilda Cruz, Elba Cruz.

The family will receive friends at Hightower's Memorial Chapel from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Wednesday, August 6, 2025.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM in the chapel at the funeral home with Pastor Tim Atkins and Pastor Javier Lopez officiating.

Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
